2014 12 Linajes Reserva

2014 12 Linajes Reserva

A Spanish wine that offers some aged wine flavours, at new wine prices.

The reserva category of Spanish wines is exciting, as it allows one to obtain older bottles of wine for relatively affordable prices. This wine is 9 years old at time of release, but costs the same as wines only a couple years old. What you get is black fruits like blueberry, but is complimented by complex flavours of liquorice, earth, and cherry jam notes. For the price point this is a great entry point into trying something different and a bit older than you may be used to. This would pair well with lamb, BBQ, but could also be excellent with a winter stew.
