2021 McManis Cabernet Sauvignon

2021 McManis Cabernet Sauvignon

McManis is showing us that you can still get good California Cabernet without having to pay the ever increasing Napa Valley prices.

McManis has done a good job finding a balance here between good wine and a fair price. This is a flavourful wine full of black fruits and vanilla. Allowing this to air in the glass for a bit after pouring, using an aerator, or decanting goes a long way in bringing out its flavour notes out and smooth it out. Overall, if you are looking for a California Cabernet in this price point, this is a great option. Pairs really well with red meats and charcuterie boards with hard cheeses, but this Cabernet is not so bold that it requires food to enjoy.
