A fantastic and versatile riesling from Ontario

Canada’s province of Ontario may not be considered on par with world famous wine regions like Germany, Italy, and France, however they really show their potential here. A fantastic and versatile riesling that offers a great flavour profile that is both accessible and complex. It holds simple flavours of lemon and pear, but also offers complex aromas of floral and petrol (gasoline) that is usually found in much more expensive examples from Germany and France. The balance of sweetness and acidity is particularly wonderful here. This versatility allows for a wide scope of food pairing options. A couple of note would be Indian curry dishes and spicy fish tacos. A great dish of our own can be found here, this pairs wonderfully with a slightly spicy curry dish. This is certainly a must try wine for those looking to give Canadian wines a shot.
