A medium bodied and approachable sangiovese that hits the mark, and won’t hurt the wallet either!
Italian wines are often labeled as big, powerful, and bold, but Garofoli really hits the mark here with a beautiful medium bodied wine. Nicely balanced with great red fruits flavours, hearty acidity, and medium tannins. This is certainly a go-to bottle for this price point that you will enjoy if you like lighter wines. Pairs well with lighter pasta and meat dishes. Personally enjoyed this alongside hamburgers, pork chops, and pasta with rose sauce, and it worked wonderfully with all of them. Would work well with any higher acidity dishes as well. A versatile wine at a great price point, what’s not to like?
