2017 Norman Hardie Riesling
This Riesling from Ontario could be mistaken in a blind tasting as German, as this is extremely close to their classic examples. This is bursting with flavours of petrol and citrus, with a bright green apple and some underlying minerality on the finish. If you focus, you can also get some white florals underneath the petrol and citrus on the nose. This is a very good wine and a fantastic value for this quality level. Also, this has the structure to age further for another 5 years, which I believe will bring out some new flavour notes and deepen existing ones. Highly recommended, a great example from Ontario Canada that truly shows their potential for making Riesling that can compete with the dominate German Rieslings.
