2018 Terrescure Lotto Unico Toscana IGT
A wonderful example of something unique and exciting from Tuscany. Utilizing partially dried sangiovese grapes, this wine provides some unique flavour characteristics. A big cherry note, hint of sourness in the form of raspberry, and slight rasin are the highlights here. Some underlying vanilla and mushrooms really bring in some complexity. This is a great wine at a mid-range price point. To pair with this, a beef dish would do best. It has enough power to it for me to suggest partnering with food, but of course this isn’t absolutely necessary.
